Pregnancy Wheel

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Pregnancy Wheel mobile application ("the App"), built by Damurka ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use it. By using Pregnancy Wheel, you agree to the practices described here. See also our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

Pregnancy Wheel is designed to work entirely on your device. The pregnancy dates, patient records, and calculations you enter are stored locally in the app's private storage. Damurka does not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to this information — we do not collect it.

The sections below cover the two optional features that touch storage or a network connection: backing up your data, and the third-party services that keep the app free.

Local backup

If you choose to back up your data locally, Pregnancy Wheel writes a single encrypted backup file to the app's private storage on your device — the same private storage area your patient records already live in, not a location any other app can browse to. A new local backup replaces the previous one. This file never leaves your device unless you also enable Google Drive backup below.

Google Drive backup

Pregnancy Wheel can optionally back up your app data to Google Drive using Google's restricted Drive App Data scope. This creates a hidden, app-specific folder in your Google Drive that:

  • Only Pregnancy Wheel can read, write, or delete — no other app can access it.
  • Is not visible in your regular Google Drive file listing.
  • Counts against your Drive storage quota but does not expose any of your other Drive files to the app.

Signing in with Google shares your account email with the app, shown in Settings so you can confirm which account is connected, and used together with your Google account ID to derive the key that encrypts your backup — so any device signed into that same Google account can restore it without you having to remember or transfer a separate passphrase. Neither your email nor the backup contents are ever sent to Damurka's servers — they move directly between your device, your Google account, and (for the key derivation) values built into the app itself. This sign-in is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Once you turn on backup, you can choose how often it runs automatically — daily, weekly, monthly, or only when you manually tap "Back up" (the default). An automatic backup follows the exact same process described above; nothing about where your data goes changes based on how it's triggered.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Pregnancy Wheel shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the free version of the app usable. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID), approximate location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, which may include personalized advertising depending on your device and consent settings.

Some features (the IVF/ART and Redate calculators) can also be unlocked for 24 hours at a time by watching an AdMob rewarded video ad in full — the same AdMob data handling described above applies to that ad, and the unlock is granted only once the reward is confirmed by AdMob.

AdMob is operated by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services for details. You can review or reset your advertising identifier, and manage ad personalization, in your device's privacy settings.

Analytics & crash reporting (Firebase)

The app uses two Google Firebase services to help us keep it working well:

  • Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic device information when the app unexpectedly closes, so we can find and fix the cause.
  • Firebase Analytics — collects anonymized app-usage data, such as which screens and features are used, to help us understand how the app is used and prioritize improvements.

Neither service is used to identify you personally, and neither has access to your pregnancy dates or patient records, which never leave local storage (or your own Drive backup folder). Both are operated by Google — see Firebase's Privacy & Security page for details.

Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The one-time Premium purchase (removes ads, permanently unlocks the IVF/ART and Redate calculators) is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Damurka never sees or stores your payment card details — Google handles the transaction and tells the app only whether you own the Premium entitlement.

Purchases, receipts, and refunds are governed by Google Play's Terms of Service. To request a refund, see Google Play's refund policy Damurka cannot issue refunds directly.

We don't sell your data

Damurka does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. The only data leaving your device is what's described above: ad and analytics identifiers sent to Google's AdMob and Firebase services, your backup file if you choose to enable Google Drive backup, and purchase confirmation from Google Play Billing if you buy Premium.

Children's privacy

Pregnancy Wheel is a clinical and personal reference tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as the app's features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
